Below is our visitor guide to High Definition Phillip: how the facilities work, what a typical session looks like, what it costs, how to get there and which saunas are nearby if you want to compare options.

Infrared is part of the offering at High Definition Phillip. Infrared cabins run cooler than traditional saunas, typically 45–65°C, because the panels warm your skin rather than the air around you. That makes them a good choice for first-timers or anyone who finds high heat uncomfortable, and it is why infrared sessions are often booked in longer blocks.

There is a cold plunge at High Definition Phillip for the cool-down part of the cycle. Plunge pools are usually kept somewhere around 8–15°C, which is cold enough to feel invigorating but more approachable than an ice bath. Lower yourself in slowly, breathe calmly, and get out when you are ready; even 30 seconds makes a difference.

High Definition Phillip combines training facilities with a sauna, which makes it easy to build heat into your regular routine. Expect shared facilities, gym etiquette (towel on the bench, rinse before entering) and peak-hour crowds before and after work. If you are visiting for the sauna alone, ask whether a recovery-only or casual pass is available.

Listed prices at High Definition Phillip start from about $35 (1 hour). That is below the typical starting price of around $47 across the Canberra saunas we list with published prices. Popular times, such as early mornings, evenings and weekends, fill up first, so book online where possible. Prices and session times change, so confirm the current rates on the High Definition Phillip website before you go.
