Our Mission

Making It Easy to Find Your Next Sauna

Australia's sauna scene has grown fast. New bathhouses, infrared studios, recovery clubs and outdoor saunas open every month, but finding them usually means trawling through social media, booking apps and out-of-date blog posts.

SaunaFindr brings them together in one place. Every listing shows where the venue is, what kind of heat it offers, which facilities it has (from ice baths and cold plunges to steam rooms and mineral pools), what it roughly costs and how to book, so you can compare options in minutes and spend more time actually in the sauna.

We also publish plain-English guides for first-timers and regulars alike, starting with Finnish vs infrared sauna.

How We Build Every Listing

Accuracy is the whole point of a directory, so every listing goes through the same process.

  1. 1

    Research

We start with public sources: the venue's own website and booking pages, state and local tourism bodies, and published Australian guides. We record where every detail came from.

  2. 2

    Check

We confirm the venue is open to the public, map its location and tag its sauna types and facilities based on what it advertises.

  3. 3

    Publish and Date

Each listing shows when its details were last checked, and clearly marks anything approximate, such as a map pin placed at the suburb.

  4. 4

    Update With Owners

Venue owners can claim their listing, correct details and send photos. Listings confirmed by the owner get an Owner Verified badge.

Our Editorial Standards

Independent

Listing a venue is free. We don't accept payment to change factual details, and any paid placement will always be clearly labelled.

Accurate and Transparent

We show what we know and say what we don't. If a price isn't confirmed, we tell you, and we link straight to the venue so you can check.

Careful About Health Claims

Our guides explain how saunas and cold water work and how to use them safely. We avoid hype, and we always suggest checking with a doctor if you have a medical condition.
